Show: K11 Kommissare im Einsatz

Episode: ??

A detective series on German channel Sat 1 had a Sailor Moon poster appeared in the background. Thanks goes to Anton.
Show: Super Twins

http://mikeabundo.com/2007/03/13/super-twins-director-denies-sailormoon-ripoff/ This was a Filipino show where the main characters outfits were basically Sailor Moon rip-offs. When the show was first announced, it started a lot of controversy because of that and the outfits were eventually changed, although not much. Also the show itself is very much like Sailor Moon. Watch their transformation sequence here.
Show: Tenchi Muyo! (Universe)

Episode: 2x12 "Time and Space Adventures Part 2"

Although Pretty Sammy is a spoof on Magical Girls in general, her outfit looks alot like Sailor Moon's. She even has a talking cat-er cabbit! Watch it here.

Later on, when she was given her own special spin-off, her outfit changed (second pic).
Show: Excel Saga

Episode: 1x01 "The Koshi Rikdo Assassination Plot", 1x09 "Bowling Girls", 1x16 "Take Back Love!", 1x17 "Animation USA", 1x20 "The Best of Mr. Pedro",

Excel Saga spoofed lots of anime's and Sailor Moon was no exception, in fact we got several different spottings throughout the show. In the first episode, when Excel goes to kill Rikdo she passes alot of anime stuff. Some of the figures look somewhat like Sailor Senshi. There's also a scene in the bowling episode, 09, where Excel makes a very Sailor Moon-ish introduction standing on the bad guy's back.

In episode 17, Excel imitates Sailor Moon to defend animation and the bad guys try to remember who she is trying to copy. Sailor ****, right? In episode 16, Excel says "we'll turn you into new Sailor Scouts!". Also, in the second recap episode, 20, Excel gives another Sailor Moon type speech, calling herself Excel Mask.
Show: Cosplay Complex

Episode: 1x03 "Round 3: The Final Battle: Showdown in the East Oizumi Academy Gym"

This show is about cosplaying so its not surprising that Sailor Moon came up. The fun thing about this sighting is that Sailor Moon came up in the final round of the competition as a sort of "this is sure to win" outfit. Chako dresses as Princess Serenity and Tukasa dresses as Queen Serenity...a double sighting! This show pays homage to a fun past time and several classic anime's (they have them cosplay other classic characters too)! Oh by the way, if you're curious about the bunny ears on Chako's chest, that's Delmo who is a magical bunny girl that can change into cosplay outfits.
Show: Slayers (Slayers, Slayers Next, Slayers Try, ??)

Episode: 1x17 "Question? He's Proposing to THAT Girl?", 2x10 "On a Journey With a Pack of Scoundrels?! Take Back That Magic Power!", 2x14 "The Forbidden Dance? Where is the Strongest Spell?", 2x17 "They're Talking About a Girl Named Zelgadis?!", 3x17 "Immediate Results? Love is in the Tiny Differences!"

There are several Sailor Moon sightings across the entire run of the Slayers franchise. In the first season, episode 17, Lina and the group disguise them to throw off other "would-be heroes." They dress up as sisters and Gourry (the guy) gets Sailor Moon's hairstyle and a pink dress.

In Slayers Next episode 10, there is a reference when Lina gets her powers sealed away and she goes looking for a sorcery doctor to get her magic back. It turns out to be a kid who is almost a dead ringer for Chibi-Usa. In episode 14, Lina and Amelia have costumes similar to Sailor Mercury and Sailor Chibi Moon while they sing the song Otome No Inori. In episode 17 of the same season, we again get to see Gourry in drag, this time looking like Minako.

Moving on to Slayers Try, in episode 17, Gourry again must get into drag. Also, in one of the movies, there is a shot of Amelia in a Senshi Uniform although I can't figure out which (sorry no pics).
Show: Combat Butler Hayate

Episode: 1x03 "The Beast, Robot, and Butler that Kinda Shout Love at the Center of the World"

In this episode, Nagi becomes a mix of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask! Sighted by Kyaa the Catlord.
Show: Puni Puni Poemi

Episode: 1x01 "Poemi is In a Bad Mood"

The series begins with Poemi fighting (and, at least once, killing) various other magical girls such as the famous Sailor Moon, Majokko Tickle, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Megu and Non of Majokko Megu-chan, Mahoro of Mahoromatic, Cardcaptor Sakura, and the first magical girl Sally the Witch, whom Poemy uses a Sharpshooter on. Watch it here.
Show: Aozora Shoujotai/801 T.T.S. Airbats

Episode: ??

Isurugi is an otaku and is caught playing in his quarters with a "Pyogera" (a Godzilla-like toy) by Sergeant Mitaka, who then stops to consider of Isurugi, "How old are you?"

Besides a Sailor Moon poster and resin statues, there's a Millennium Falcon and other references as well.
Show: Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge

Episode: 1x05 "??" and 1x07 "??"

This show was actually two different animes, "Sore Yuke! Gedo Otome Tai" and "Zettai Seigi Love Pheromone". Episode 05 had the Gedo Otome Tai (girls) auditioned for voice acting for an anime. Those four girls won and they showed this scene quickly to show what they did as voice actors. They became very popular and sold a lot of items and they were chosen because they were pretty, not as good voice actors.

In episode 07 the guy shown in the image is a talent agent for Love Pheromone, different from the girls above. He was trying to change the deal with the tv producer and suddenly this card comes out from the tv producer's jacket and the card was revealed. He made a deal with him to have one of the girls to perform just so he can get that card. This was spotted by Senshi-chan.
Show: Bleach

Episode: 2x25 "The Awakening Lion"

Kon is modsoul that inhabits a bear which Yuzu calls Postaf. She thinks that he is a girl and so he has to wear clothes that he is not to happy with. In this case, it is a sailor suit which he quickly puts on to try and avoid being mistaken for a bad spirit. However, when asked to become a hero of justice, he finds the role to daunting and returns to Yuzu.
Show: Mobile Suit G Gundam

This is the Nobel Gundam from Mobile Suit G Gundam which come out in 1994 about the same time as Sailor Moon S. In the G Gundam manga, Allenby Biazury actually does the "I'll Punish You!" pose and upgrades Nobel Gundam to Super Nobel Gundam (which does looks like Super Sailor Moon, sorry don't have a pic). The suit for the pilot also slightly resembled the Sailor Senshi uniforms. This Gundam also shows up in the video game.
Show: Pokemon

Episode: 7x21 "Disaster of Disguise"

Team Rocket gets all Tuxedo Mask-y while trying to unmask the Masked Phantom.
Show: Lingerie Soldier Papillon Rose

This show is a complete copy of Sailor Moon, the only difference is the sexual/hentai aspect has been turned up to eleven (Spinal Tap...watch it). The show is a parody of the magical girl genre, particularly Sailor Moon and Cutie Honey. It all started out as a jok online but people liked it and so an OVA was made, along with a bunch of ficitional pictures and quides for non-exsistent manga and episodes. The fictional second and third season are parodies of Sailor Moon R and S respectively. Aside from the OVA, a six episode long TV show was made. Despite the sexual overtones, the series has yet to feature sex or extremely graphic nudity.

Brief Overview: High-school student Tsubomi works as a lingerie-clad hostess in a bar named "Papillon". However, when trouble calls, she becomes the (in)famous Lingerie Soldier, Papillon Rose. Once she and her fellow heroines bed the local stud Hikaru, they gain the ability to transform into their heroic costumes. Using her patented Rose Pinkish Viagra special move and a variety of sexual-oriented weapons (such as vibrators), Papillon Rose and the Lingerie Soldiers must fight the minions of Regina Apis, a ruthless woman bent on dominating the world's supply of libido.

Am I odd for imaging this as some weird Chibi-Usa from an alternate reality? - Novadestin
Show: Wedding Peach

Episode: 1x05 "3 Nin me no Aitenshi/The Third Love Angel"

Those front two girls in the crowd look like Rei and Ami don't they? The transformation sequences are very similar as well (the first from the series and the second from the OVA). Watch the series transformations here. Watch the OVA transformations here.

The show itself has a very similar tale and look to Sailor Moon (often being referred to as a Sailor Moon knock-off) so these spotting's are more than likely not the only similarities to be found.
Show: Love Hina

Episode: 1x08 "Kendo Girl and the Legend of the Dragon Palace: Is This a Dream?"

Shinobu is transformed into a nurse and her henshin is very much like Sailor Moon's. She also does the speech. Watch it here.
Show: Makai Senki Disgaea

Episode: 1x05 "The Dungeon of Attraction... Maybe"

Towards the end of the episode, as Sardia prepares to attack Laharl, a red rose flies into her path and embeds itself in the floor like one of Tuxedo Mask's. It was thrown by Midboss, a character who would very much like to be respected and idolized in the way Tuxedo Mask is. He also gives a very magical girl type speech.
Show: Fushigi Yuugi

Episode: 1x01 "The Girl of Legend"

Miaka Yuuki did a variation of Sailor Moon's introductory speech, "Heaven may forgive you, but Yuki Miaka will not! In the name of the heavens, I'll punish you!", while she was defending herself from a group of guys. She also did the pose at another point too. Watch it here.
Show: Galaxy Fraulein Yuna

Yuna's friend, Liavelt von Neuestein, starred in a TV series as the masked heroine, Lady Polylina. Polylina was effectively a female Tuxedo Mask - she was portrayed saving girls from the forces of evil, throwing roses, and making slightly stilted speeches. Yuna was a huge fan of Polylina, but did not seem to realize that she was actually Liavelt, despite the fact that the only thing disguising her friend was a flimsy mask. She also has a bionic white kitty.
Show: Mai-HiME

Episode: 1x06 "Burning 17 Year Old"

In episode 06, the monster of the day gained the upper hand against the three main characters and was preparing to strike when suddenly his hand was chopped off by a flying energy disk. The girls looked in its direction to see Midori catch the disk, which then transformed into a pole arm, revealing that she was also a HiME. Midori then gave an introductory speech akin to those used by Sailor Senshi, complete with a V gesture.
Show: Magikano

Ayumi is said to be a Sailor Moon knock-off...sure looks like one.
Show: Haunted Junction

Episode: 1x05 "Alone in the Dark? Nurse's Room"

This one deals with various manga characters being bought to life. Among these are the Sailors XO, who bear a passing resemblence to the sailor senshi. In order to stop them, the Student Council President enlists the help of Red Mantle, who has to wear a top hat in addition to his Tuxedo Mask mask.

For some reason the subs won't show up in the pics so here is the text:
Ichiro: "Ah! That's the ultimate high school girl transformer troops! Sailors XO!"
Haruto: "So you mean they're also..."
Ichiro: "Yes. Only when the moon's out do the Sailors XO appear dressed as sailors or nurses and defeat evil!"
Sailors XO: "Only when the moon is out! Count on us!"
Haruto: "In this situation, the most helpful spirit would be..."
Red Mantle: "The moon is beautiful. Let the moonlight captivate my heart. President! Don't force me to wear this top hat!"
Sailors XO: "Oh! Red Mantle!"
Show: Tokyo Mew Mew

Episode: 04

While Ichigo is at the amusement park with Masaya, they show a stage with a girl dressed similar to Sailor Moon putting on a magical girl show.
Show: Armitage 3

Episode: ??

This "Second", a second generation robot, looks strangely familiar.
Show: Blue Seed Omake Theater

Episode: 1x04 "Go Animation Girl"

Momiji becomes an idol and then goes into animation. For this, she dresses up as a Sailor Moon look-a-like (one which strangely does not have a back side to her skirt...). She also gives praise in saying "Talking about being an animation idol! This is the only one!" right before she reveals her costume. Watch it here.
Show: Keroro Gunso

The first picture is from the manga and the second is from the anime. They ALL look very familiar don't they?
Show: Lucky Star

Episode: 1x12 "Let's Go to the Festival"

At the end of the "Lucky Channel" segment, Minoru Shiraishi announces: "If you don't watch next week's episode, I'll turn into Mars and scold you," in a parody of Sailor Mars' usual introductory speech. Watch it here.
Show: Happy Seven

Kuriya Kuroda's transformation sequence is very similar to Sailor Moon's (in the picture, Sailor Moon's sequence is out of order to show how it matches up and I left out Kuriya Kuroda's weapon part cause Usagi doesn't summon hers in her sequence). Also the main character, Amano Sakogami, looks like a cross between Usagi and Minako. Watch it here.
Show: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo

Episode: 1x01 "The Bo-nafide Soulful Bo-tector of Hair"

Bobobo does the 'I'll Puinsh You!' pose in the first episode. He also says "On behalf of the nine-planets I will judge you in the name of the Universe!" in an episode (sorry no pic). Watch it here.
Show: Pani Poni Dash

Episode: 1x08 "A Sansho Spice to a Bear is Like Pepper to a Carp"

In this episode, Behoimi (the self-proclaimed magical girl from class 1-D) is starting to doubt her value compared to many of the other students who appear to have better characters. She encounters a few Sailor Moon references along the way, including a girl who looks very much like Venus using the attack "Suzure Lovely Chop" (even the fansubber pointed out that it was a reference to Sailor Venus) who happens to be chasing a girl while arguing about affection. Also, there is a girl named Rei with long dark hair that is into the occult and can sense magical interference. Watch it here.
Show: Pucca

Episode: 1x21 "Tokyo A Go-Go / Ninja License / Four-Alarm Fire"

In Tokyo A Go-Go, Pucca very clearly transforms into Sailor Moon. Watch it here.
Show: Crayon Shin-chan

Episodes: 1x23 "Your IQ's Like 5, Right?", 2x15 "Tell the Cops She Looked Eighteen", ??

The Sailor Moon voice cast returned the favor in episode 109 of Crayon Shin-chan, in which Aya Hisakawa, Emi Shinohara, and Kae Araki appeared as "Sailor Iyaan," "Sailor Bakaan," and "Sailor Mufoon," respectively. And on top of that Shin-chan inserted other Sailor Moon sightings too. Please see my 'Other Language Shows' sighting page for more info! 3x05 Aug. 08, 1994 ???????? / ????????? / ???????????? http://sharetv.org/shows/shin_chan/episodes http://sharetv.org/shows/shin_chan/episodes/348975/03x05 I'm not sure about the name of the article: "Crayon Shin-chan parody", "Crayon Shin-chan parodies", or maybe "Sailor Moon and Crayon Shin-chan", since there are so many cameos in Shin-chan... At first, the mentioned series was the actual Sailor Moon (with references to Sailor Moon directors, staff, etc...), later it became "Sailor Mufoon", a parody of the anime. Any suggestions? --Silver 17:34, 26 August 2009 (MST) Yes, there is a lot more info that I have not included. For example, Kunihiko Ikuhara did an actual cameo in the series, that's why Misae came to know him personally and that was the reason she started to watch the anime (Sailor Moon, not Sailor Mufoon). Also, there is some appareances of the "Tsuki ni kawatte oshioki yo" speech (including the hand gestures), the "Sailor Mufoon" and other TV shows parodies, Sailor Moon dolls... Silver 18:36, 26 August 2009 (MST) In the segment "Action Bastard Says, "I've Got You, Crabs!" of episode 15 in the second season, Sailor Moon becomes Jailbait Poon (Watch it here)! And of course the little girl watching the show, loves her so much she just has to copy her so its like a sighting within a sighting! Now, rewind to episode 23 of the first season and we get to see her alter ego's first meeting with the De-Flowerer (Watch it here). It's not a total Tuxedo Mask spotting, but the joke behind it is clear.

Along with these sighting, there are seveal others in this show, including a girl who does the Sailor Moon pose in more than one episode (could be Jailbait Poon). Thanks goes to Mandee.
  • In Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, Kyouka's magical girl transformation in episode 15 looks Sailor Moon like.
  • There is a sighting in KimiAru. They Are My Noble Masters #06 — “Light, You Forgot Your Panties!”
  • In Maze, when male maze is in female maze's brain, he is with what looks like Usagi and a dozen other anime babes.
  • Mitsuishi Kotono voices Usagi and female Maze Thanks to: JASMS 37: Maze, Maze of the Haze http://askwhatyouneed.webs.com/mazetv1115.htm
  • There are some in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei like Meru in Neo Queen Serenity's "frozen" pose and a Burning Mandala parody. There could be more too! (Someone said their pretty sure these are in the second season - called Zoku.)
