MadMouth Sickrot was a warrior. His village praised him for his strength. But one day in late spring his village was attacked by order guards and he was taken prisoner. The goodling's that attacked held him strong and he was placed on a ship to be taken to Asgard for trial. His crime, according to his captor's was killing order guards. This, of course, was a bogus charge. He had only killed them to protect his village. But he could do nothing in his current situation. He sat in his cell in the hold of the ship and planned his escape. He did not have long to think as the ship that held him came under attack by pirates. The crew held strong, but they were no match for the well armed pirates. The pirates had a well planned strategy and took the captain first. The rest of the crew surrendered when they saw that their captain had about twelve cutlasses and daggers pointed at his throat. The pirates took MadMouth and all the treasure the goodling's had aboard their ship and sailed away. MadMouth would have thanked the pirate, but they did nothing more then move him from ship to ship. He was placed in a cage in the hold and the captain grinned at him. "Well what have we got here," he said. "Let me free, I have done nothing!" said MadMouth angrily. "Nah, those goodling's held ye for some reason. I bet ye got a hefty price on yer head," said the captain and walked away with a laugh. Lucky for MadMouth the cage was old and he knew he could break the rusted bars easily. But he also knew he could not take on an entire crew. So again he waited. And again the ship he was on came under attack. Or to be correct, the ship he was on began the attack and lost in the end. As everything around him caught fire, he broke the bars and ran up to the deck. Some pirates tried to stop him but he took care of them easily. He looked around and could see that the ship was lost. The victory ship was sailing away from the fire, so MadMouth had no choice but to fall into the sea. The smoke choked him and he hit the water hard. When he woke he found himself in another cage, this one in a captain's cabin. The captain sat at his desk and looked him over. An elf sat across from him with a small grin. "Release me! I have done nothing," said MadMouth and gripped the bars, testing them. They were surprisingly strong "Ye bend those bars and I bend yer arms," said the captain. "Why are you keepin' me here?" he asked calmly. This captain seemed a reasonable man so MadMouth did his best to be civil. "Right now I am trying to decide if you or he should be in there," said the captain and pointed at the elf. "Hey now sir! I helped ya out back there didn't I?" said the elf in protest. "Aye ye did Gemshot, but I told ye that afterwards ye would be going back in there," said the captain. "I should not be caged!" said MadMouth. "And why is that?" asked the captain, "Ye are a member of the pirate ship we…he just burned." Gemshot gave the captain a sideways glance and smirked. "Nay, I was taken from a goodling vessel as a prisoner. I am no pirate," said MadMouth and crossed his arms as if the very idea offended him. "Well if ye were a prisoner, doesn't that just give us more reason to keep you in there?" asked Gemshot. "Those goodling's attacked my village and then had the gale to take me for killin' their men," said MadMouth with a snarl. "And why should we believe you?" asked Gemshot. "If ye don't shut yer mouth, I am going to stick ye in there again and let ye and the orc fight over the space," said the captain with a smirk. ![]() The captain stood up and walked over to the cage. He held out his hand to the orc. "I be Cap't Asherion Die of the Myrrdin," he said. The orc looked at him for a moment and then took his hand, "I am MadMouth Sickrot of the Blackridge Clan." "If I let ye free, ye will do no harm?" asked Ash. "Aye, no harm. All I wish is to get to a port and be on my way," said MadMouth. Asherion unlocked the cage and let him out. Then he looked at Gemshot. "My turn?" asked Gemshot. Asherion closed the door and looked at them, "Nay. Ye are both free to roam as ye wish. But I want ye off my ship when we reach port." "Which port are we sailing too?" asked MadMouth. "Port Royal," said Gemshot. Asherion gave him an annoyed glance, "We are not far from me Lady's. We will stop there." |
